My family and close friends call me Mimi. This is the story of how it became my nickname. 'Ming' is the word for younger aunt in the Khmer language and when my eldest niece, (born to my older sister) was learning to speak, she could not say 'Ming', and instead would say Mimi. That niece is 18 years old now and the name has stuck since.

After having my daughter a year ago, I decided to stay home and raise her.  I never imagined that I would be a stay at home mom, but I feel so blessed to be able to do so. To keep my identity and to keep my technical skills sharp, I decided to start this blog.This is a creative project for me and I hope to share my thoughts, experiences and recipes with you. I hope it inspires you and if anything, I hope I can entertain you with the colorful moments of life with a rambunctious and entertaining child.
