Pork Belly Garlic Fig & Brie Sandwich

I hadn't been to Trader Joe's in a few months and so..... I bought all the things. Here is a grilled cheese sandwich I created to clog my arteries and add inches to my waistline. *Facepalm* SEND HELP.

Brioche bun drenched in melted salted butter, slathered with fig jam and garlic spread, thick slices of crispy pork belly, nestled in a melty slice of triple cream brie with mild mushrooms. It was like a Monte Cristo sandwich leveled up on 'roids. All ingredients from Trader Joes.




Ingredients:

  • Brioche Hot Dog buns

  • Pork Belly

  • Triple Cream Brie cheese with Wild Mushrooms

  • Fig Butter

  • Garlic spread dip

  • Chives for garnish

Directions:


  1. Brown pork belly until crispy, set aside.

  2. Melt butter in skillet and lightly toast brioche bun on both sides.

  3. Add a slice of brie inside the bun and slather garlic spread and fig jam on the other side.

  4. Add pork belly and continue to toast sandwich on both sides until brie is melty and delicious.

  5. Garnish with chopped chives.
